IN 2024 I became interested in the fiber art of wool punching. I quickly became enamored of it and have made more that 100 pieces. I enjoy exploring the colors and textures available with it. I am not currently selling my pieces, but I plan to in the future.
These are small mixed media sculptures of fantastical fish, each with unique ways to get around. I would like to use these small creatures to tell jokes and stories.
This is a Star Wars character from the animated series “Rebels”, it is a Loth Cat. He is about the size of a medium dog.
This is my sculpt of a Gremlin from the 1980’s movie. He is not any one specific character. I noticed that they are all a bit different, so I put my own spin on my character.
These are mounted fish sculptures that I made sort of based on real fish, but not exactly anatomically correct. These three were painted by Margaret Meyer.
These are sculpts that I made using a technique for applying fur to puppets. I like to make cute and fanciful creatures.
Some fun sculpts of not quite true animals.
The pilot helmet was made starting with my Dad’s football helmet from when he was a kid. It is based on a Star Wars rebel pilot helmet. The Creeper and the Clone Wars helmet were both papier-mâché Halloween costumes. All were a lot of fun to make.
This is a puppet based on the owl from the 1982 classic “Clash of the Titans”. It is not exactly like that owl, I have made my own changes. There are strings which run out his feet, with them he can flap his wings, open his mouth, turn his head and move his eyes.
This is my version of the robot character from the video game “Jedi Fallen Order”. He is mostly made of laser cut wooden pieces which I made all the files for and cut. Not long after I finished him Lego came out with a pretty cool kit to make one, oh well.
This guy is based on a space cat creature from the video game Borderlands 3. When he is finished he will have a furry coat, but he looks pretty cool now as a skeleton.
